Kent Darwin

Kent attended the Climate Reality Project seminar with 1,400 others in Pittsburg in October 2017 to become a volunteer for the project. He has given presentations across the Metroplex and some other cities and states. No audience is too big or too small because his focus is on our good Earth and atmosphere that will affect future generations and all living things, in and on our planet.

Kent worked with 3M Company for 33 years, most of that time as a 3M contract negotiator of 3M products, services, technologies and resources to healthcare hospital systems, like Humana, HCA, Daughters of Charity, and others. He relocated from St. Paul, MN, in January 1986, to Coppell, Texas after negotiating a five-year sole-source contract with Voluntary Hospitals of America representing 1,800 hospitals.

Kent retired in February, 2001, to devote more time to his passion for drawing and painting parts of this good earth. Kent’s works of landscapes, seascapes, flowers, portraits and animals hang in home and offices throughout the United States and some foreign countries.

He is a board member of the Coppell Arts Council and has sung in the Coppell Community Chorale for 32 years.

He is now a volunteer spokesman for the Cochlear Company regarding the values their products provide to those with profound hearing loss. He has worn a Cochlear implant since December 2017. In 2019, Kent was named the Metroplex Cochlear volunteer of the year.
