news from southside collective members

To celebrate Juneteenth, the Climate Reality DFW chapter joined the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) to sponsor the Red Black & Green New Deal community conference on Saturday, June 12th.  Nine speakers from various climate justice organizations spoke about air, water, energy, land, democracy, the economy, health, and labor.

Over sixty people joined the event live at the Pan African Connection bookstore in South Oak Cliff and over 800 joined through the live stream. It was great to have some many people come out to support and amplify the voices of the activists of color leading the environmental justice movement in Dallas.
